This isn’t corporate HR. Your resume should scream:
P&L ownership
EBITDA expansion
Cost takeout
Operational improvements
Commercial acceleration
Bad: “Led cross-functional team to enhance customer satisfaction.”
Good: “Increased NPS from 28 to 51 in 12 months, contributing to 11% revenue growth.”
PE firms value people who stick with the business and drive results over time. Show progression and impact in each role.
If you’ve worked in a portfolio company or with a PE firm, say it clearly. Include the sponsor's name if possible:
“Acme Inc. — CFO | PE-backed by [Sponsor Name]”
